HPLC Research Group - University of Szeged
Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry
The Chromatographic Research Group with the leader of
Prof. Antal Péter is belongs to the Department of the
Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, University of Szeged.
The University of Szeged is among the 400 best universities
of the world by the rank of the University of Jiao Tong in
Shanghai. The main research profile of the Research Group covers the
enantioseparation by HPLC and CE methods. The enantioseparation of
biologically important compounds (mostly amino acids, small peptides, amines)
is carried out on chiral columns containing different chiral selectors. Fruitful
cooperations were established with highly acknowledged research groups from both Europe and
USA; we initiated research work with D.W. Armstrong (University of Texas at Arlington, USA),W.
Lindner (University of Vienna, Austria), A. Berthod (University of Lyon, France) and M.H. Hyun
(Pusan National University, South Korea), who kindly provide us their produced chiral stationary
phases, thus most of the chiral analyses can be carried out on the newest (not commercialized) CSPs.
